Economic Daily Jin Guanping: it is not advisable for traditional industries to "simply withdraw". On 11 May, an opinion commentary article of the Economic Daily pointed out that the first meeting of the 20th Central Financial and Economic Committee held a few days ago stressed that persisting in promoting the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries should not be regarded as a simple exit from "low-end industries." This is a timely correction of the labeling of traditional industries in some places in recent years, and it is also an encouragement to the traditional industries that are in the critical period of transformation and upgrading. In essence, there is no distinction between good or bad, high or low, and traditional industries do not represent low-end, let alone simply withdraw and eliminate. It needs to be emphasized that traditional industries still have a lot to do. In this process, we should adhere to both incremental rise and stock reform, and do a good job in cultivating and strengthening emerging industries and transforming and upgrading traditional industries on the basis of overall development and security, so as to truly achieve "flying with wings" and "having the best of both worlds".
