(China overtakes Russia as the largest source of copper inventories on the London Metal Exchange). According to country of origin inventory data released by the London Metal Exchange (LME), Chinese copper stocks stored in LME warehouses rose to 26675 tons in April, up from 15575 tons in March, making China surpass Russia as the largest source of copper inventories in the LME. Russian copper stocks rose slightly to 23200 tonnes in April from 22275 tonnes last month.
