So far, the smallest and fastest nanometer exciton transistor has come out.

FAP, April 18 (FAP)-South Korea's Posco University of Science and Technology and St. Petersburg State University of Information Technology, Mechanics and Optics in Russia have jointly developed a nano-exciton transistor, which uses intra-layer and interlayer excitons in semiconductors based on heterostructures to overcome the limitations of existing transistors. The study was recently published in ACS Nano, an authoritative international journal in the field of nanotechnology. Nano-exciton transistors are expected to play an indispensable role in realizing optical computers, helping humans process huge amounts of data driven by artificial intelligence technology, the team said.
