The Chinese side strongly condemns and firmly opposes this, and has made solemn representations and strong protests to Canada. In response to Canada's unreasonable acts, the Chinese side decided to take reciprocal counter-measures, including Consul Zhen Yihui of the Canadian Consulate General in Shanghai as an "unwelcome person" and asked her to leave China before May 13. The Chinese side reserves the right to make further responses.
