The development index of China's small and medium-sized enterprises fell in April, which is still higher than that of the same period last year.

The China Association of small and medium Enterprises (SMEDI) released today that the Development Index of China's small and medium-sized Enterprises (SME) in April was 89.0, down 0.3 points from the previous month, but still higher than the level for the same period in 2022. According to the sub-industry index, in April, among the eight major industries of the national economy, the construction industry index and the accommodation and catering industry index rose, while the wholesale and retail industry index was flat. Industry, transportation, real estate, social services and information transmission software industry index fell.
