[world's largest pulp producer Suzano SA: considering exporting products to China in RMB] Suzano SA, the world's largest hardwood pulp producer, is considering selling its products to China in RMB, a further sign that the US dollar is gradually losing its dominant position in the commodity market. Walter Schalka, chief executive of the Brazilian company, said the importance of the renminbi was growing and that smaller Chinese customers were also demanding transactions in the renminbi. China is the largest buyer of commodities, accounting for 43 per cent of Suzano pulp sold. While the dollar still dominates, the use of renminbi in transactions ranging from oil to nickel is accelerating. (Bloomberg)
